Introduction to Internet of Things (IoT) provides an overview of the concepts and opportunities in the Digital Transformation.  It introduces the concept of a networked foundation connecting billions of things and trillions of gigabytes of data to enhance decision making and interactions.

Course Overview

Introduction to Internet of Things (IoT) provides students a sample of emerging technologies such as data analytics, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. It also introduces how to connect and secure popular smart devices, such as digital voice assistants, thermostats, video doorbells with ease. Students enrolled in this course will:

Discover technical details of IoT devices driving automation.

Apply basic programming to support installation of IoT devices. 

Understand how data provides value to automation in the digitized world.

Create, design, and prototype an IoT solution for an identified business or society need.

Discover opportunities provided by IoT.
