Course Overview

Introduction to Networks provides the principles and structures of IP addressing, the fundamentals of Ethernet concepts, media, and operations, to build a small internet network.  By the end of the course, students will be able to:


Build simple small-to-medium sized business network. 


Perform basic programming configurations for routers and switches. 


Design an IP addressing scheme for a small-to-medium sized business network.


Implement basic network connectivity between devices.


Configure monitoring tools available for small-to-medium sized business networks.


Learn how to prepare for IT employment test

Routing & Switching Essentials (RSE) course is focused on troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving connectivity issues in small -to-medium sized networks. By the end of the course students will be able to:



Configure monitoring tools available for small to medium-sized business networks. 


Use monitoring tools and network management protocols to troubleshoot data networks.


Resolve router and switch issues common in both IPv4 and IPv6 networks. 


Perform device discovery, management and maintenance of small to medium-sized business networks


Learn how to prepare for IT employment test
