Ida Byrd-Hill is an urban futurist, economist, educator, author and tech guru. She is CEO of Automation Workz,  a cybersecurity reskilling and diversity consulting firm that performs Diversity Culture Audits, Executive Coaching and Training to assist corporate leaders view and retool their employer brand with the goal to move diverse populations  - women, people of color, LGBTQ and veterans - into higher paying tech careers.

Ida has 33 years of professional business experience including ---

5 years in Human Resources where she created and implemented compensation analyses, diverse recruiting strategies and performance growth, culminating with a position as an Executive Search Consultant. She placed 72 executive-partner level attorneys, including 30 diversity hires with Diversity Culture Audit process that includes review of operational policies, diversity coaching and training. 

14 years piloting public – private partners as the head of a Detroit nonprofit that led to the turnaround of 5 Detroit Public Schools, creation of a cyber alternative high school and the creation of a post-secondary tech school specializing in cybersecurity, network engineering and digital marketing.

14 years in finances where she automated 9 departments, led the growth of a Wealth Management firm from zero to 353 million dollars of Assets Under Management, acquired 1 million dollars of mortgages a month, trained 1000 hourly UAW workers with a Financial Fitness Course, Fluke -the wealth building game of accidental inventions and My Dream Empire, a financial literacy app.

Ida Byrd-Hill is a graduate of University of Michigan - Ann Arbor with a BA Economics and Jack Welch Management Institute at Strayer University with an MBA specializing in People Management/ Strategy.

Ida is the author of 8 books, including her most recent, Invisible Talent Market, a Black Labor Economics History book and soon –to-be released, DIVERSITY – A Reskilling Payday.
