Employer brand refers to an organization’s reputation as a workplace and its value proposition to employees. It encompasses the company’s culture, values, mission, leadership, career development opportunities, and work environment. When employees feel valued, respected, and empowered, they naturally drive innovation, productivity, customer engagement, lucrative market revenue and ultimately, profits by attracting individuals, like them, to your company’s products and services.

A Culture Audit is a structured assessment of your organization’s values, beliefs, behaviors, and work environment to evaluate alignment with your mission, goals, and MORE importantly employee expectations.
Employees have expectations of your company‘s culture. Employees expect your company to develop their skills, promote them up the career ladder and treat them with dignity, without offense.
According to PwC’s Saratoga Workforce Index, the US average promotion rate in 2022 was 13%. Sadly in the McKinsey & Co. Race in the workplace: The frontline experience report states “Too often, however, frontline jobs are both a starting point and an end point for workers.” Approximately, 70% of the 95 million front-liners desire promotion but only 4% are ever promoted. “They (front-liners) also don’t view their work environment as a meritocracy.”

Meritocracy

Meritocracy is a system in which individuals advance and succeed based on their abilities, skills, and achievements rather than favoritism, nepotism, and social/ wealth biases.
Consequently, front-liners are frustrated. That frustration is exhibited in poor customer service, turnover/ absenteeism, failed digital transformation projects and unionization. This front-liner frustration is costing corporations 7.947 trillion dollars annually, not including unionization.

Case study

Dr. Bronner’s

Dr. Bronner’s, a 75-year family-owned natural soap brand, selling from the shelves of Better Health, Costco, Kroger, Publix, Target, Turnip Truck, Walmart and Whole Foods, has grown revenue from $123 million in 2018 to $209 million in 2024 with an employee increase from 226 in 2018 to 350 in 2024.

Lilia Vergara, VP of Human Resources, navigated Dr. Bronner’s through this growth, catapulting her career from HR Manager to Director to VP and Director. Automation Workz conducted a Culture Audit to harness their 34 diverse employee cognitive thinking styles to increase revenue. Automation Workz compiled a 220-page data report with executive personal belief interviews, employee interviews, operational visits and numerical data. This report laid the foundation for revenue growth and quadruple growth of the Human Resources department, in 3 short years.

UNIONIZATION

Front-liners have created their own career promotion program – UNIONIZATION.
Unionization has had the highest support in 60 years. According to Economic Policy Institute survey, 60 million workers in 2024 wanted to join a union but couldn’t. Only 16 million were unionized in 2024. Yet those 16 million, on average, received a 6.4% wage increase in 2024.
Ensure your culture is a MERITOCRACY where everyone has the opportunity to receive a promotion based on their abilities, skills, and achievements rather than favoritism, nepotism, and social/ wealth biases.
