Inner-city residents desire to earn more income and have gravitated to easier post-secondary options. Unfortunately, these options have charged exorbitant tuition rates to generate incomes earning $15 per hour. This income is not sufficient to service the student loan debt they owe. Consequently, urban cities have the highest student loan default rate in Majority-Minority zip codes. People of color are not moving into high-paying high-demand careers.
